Can smaller companies also benefit from your services?  How much do they save with such services?
A. Savings even for a small company is in the 30-70% range.  The savings are higher if you require frequent book-keeping and filings.

Q. It will take me a long time to adapt to a new partner and process.  What is the opportunity cost involved?
A. You will be up and running in a month. You can start with just bookkeeping, and later as you gain confidence start outsourcing other functions like accounting, taxes, filing and compliance.

Q. How much will it actually save them - time and money?
A. By looking at your area of business and requirements, we will be able to give you an estimate of how much time and money you can save.  We could also do a pilot project to identify costs and benefits.  Bear in mind that initial costs and time spent understanding the processes are not indicative of actual costs and time over the long run.

Q. What are the risks... if it fails etc
A. You are always in control of your risks.  As far as electronic data is concerned, we transmit data using secure channels and the staff working on your files is monitored in their work-environments.  In the networked economy of today,  companies of all sizes have data warehouses located all over the world and access their data from various ports – office, home, mobile, etc. 

Q. What are the quality measures in place to ensure accuracy?
A. Our bookkeepers are highly trained and managed by competent CAs. The Account managers in India are certified contractors selected using strict criteria and a strongly enforced checklist for qualification. They are trained by North American professionals to ensure that accounting practices are followed. Large companies use the same strategy to deliver services successfully. A risk based quality assurance and review program is in place to check for errors. If using DocSnaps, there are software checks and rules based entry that eleminate common bookkeeping errors. Penalties in place for omissions ensure that the deliverable is of high quality.

Q. I use Quickbooks. Is it possible to use your services?
A. Our bookkeepers are trained in proprietary software like Quickbooks, and Simply Accounting. The Quickbooks data file is updated and uploaded periodically. Once you download the data, you will have current books.

Q. What are the pricing plans available for the online services?

Q. What type of computer hardware and scanner is required?
A. You would need an auto-feed scanner with a resolution of at least 600 dpi, and preferably with the ability to scan legal size. These days there are very good scanners for less than $1000 which can do upto 25 ppm, and even double sided scans. A computer with 256 MB ram, and a broadband connection are preferable.

Q. As a services partner what is the cost to set up the business?

Q. As a bookkeeper, what type of personal interface is required with the customer?
A. If you are a local CFO you have to meet with the customer and follow the training program covering online bookkeeping delivery and use of DocSnaps to login and access their reports. You have the option of having them scan the documents and email it to you, fax it to you, or upload it to DocSnaps directly, OR you can arrange for document pick-up and scan it at your office. As a Virtual Bookkeeper, the initial meeting and training will be done online. This will include proper scanning and labelling techniques so they can scan and upload documents or fax them to you. We have arrangements with various business centers where documents can be dropped off for pick-up by you.

Q. Can this business be home based?
A. Yes, it is an ideal home based business. All services can be delivered online and since all communication happens within the context of the service it allows you to service customers located far from your office/home.

Q. What type of support if any do you have for acquiring new clients?
A. We market using both traditional channels and the internet. We refer new customers to our parter accounting and book-keeping firms, based on geographical location.

Q. What type of security do you have on file backups and the security for clients to view their data remotely online?
A. The documents are stored on secure hosted servers. We have access level security and monitoring tools for illegal access. We do data backups regularly, and the client has the ability to download all data and back it up to their desktops at any time.

Q. Do you offer payroll input data that is compatible with US federal and Colorado state guidelines?
A. We do not have payroll functionality as part of our software services at this time. As a partner you will be responsible for doing payroll, and taxes.

Q. What about other government reporting requirements such as Social Security, unemployment and other insurance requirements?
A. We do not have payroll related functionality as part of our software service at this time.

Q. Do you offer references?
A. We can provide you references from accounting and book-keeping firms as well as end-customers.

Q. Will we have to adapt your process?
A. Our process is a set of best practices and checklists. This can be adapted to the way you already work with your customers.

Q. What do we do with our existing customers?
A. You can offer your customers the option of working with you online. If they are willing to adopt then they get rewarded with convenience and cost and time savings. If not you can keep working with your existing customers they way have been doing.

Q. What do we do with our existing staff?
A.
